So I'm curious, saw something like this on one tree hill and got me thinking. If you heard your guy or girl mutter in their sleep something like "I love you" but then they said the name of someone else, maybe an ex or friend or colleague etc. What would you do?

Forget you cannot expect someone to control their dreams, I know that after certain foods or even ingredients or spices in a meal I have some really weird dreams and would feel terrible if my partner took them seriously, I've had dreams about marrying people I barely know and have no attraction to at all.

Personally? I’d bring it up. 
Even if it’s nothing, I’m the kind of person that has a lot of anxiety so I just like to be more open and communicative about the things I know will set that anxiety off.... so to prevent anyone from any emotional harm lol I just bring stuff like that up for discussion right away

Laugh it off.  It’s subconscious base level brain waves.  They don’t mean anything, it could be an old memory, a fantasy, or a garbled random picture.  If you take it as something more than that you’re just gonna end up hurting yourself and your relationship.
