Such a proud moment

My parents are older and disabled so sometimes my husband and I need to go over and help them out. Today, while my husband is doing their yard work, he’s got his shirt off and his muscles are all pumped up and I notice my mom watching in awe. I laugh to myself and approach her later to tease her about checking out my husband and she leans in real close and says to me, “that man is a good man. You picked him out wisely. He loves you, he’s a hard worker and, wow, he’s hot! I’m so proud of you for picking out a good husband. And though your father will never admit to it, I know he loves him, too.”

I felt so supported by my mom that I hugged her and teared up. My husband has had a troubled past that we are still overcoming and I’m so glad my parents can look beyond that and see the person who I know him to be.
