Going through my first break up at 21

My boyfriend of two years and I broke up tonight. Our futures didn’t line up and we were heading in different directions. We still love each other and i feel like that’s the hardest part. I wish he or i did something to make us hate the other person because i feel like it would be so much easier. It was just the right thing to do because we would’ve broken up before he went active duty in the military in a couple years. I’m just so completely heartbroken and i feel so empty. I lost my best friend and i lost a part of me.
