I love my dad to bits but I cringe at the thought of being close with my mum and it’s almost as if I want to like her but really don’t even though she’s a normal mom what’s wrong with me?

I love my dad and he’s my role model.. but I can’t stand my mom. She is legit a bitch and I really don’t want to be near her. Unfortunately if I want a relationship with my dad, I have to deal with my mom.... so it sucks :/ she use to be a normal mom but as I got older, she just hates on everything I do. Last week I disagreed with something (blood draw that was completely unnecessary) she said about my child and my body, and instead of saying “ok you’re right it’s your child” she said that she wishes I got an abortion and that I’m a failure. That I’m a mistake and I shouldn’t have gotten pregnant because I’m too immature and selfish.... my pregnant ass was depressed for a week over it.

I NEVER got along with my mom from like age 12 til age 17. I’m 20 now and me and my mom are closer than ever. Teenage years are really hard because of changing hormones and what not. Almost always, teenage girls don’t get along with their mother because they subconsciously know that their mother will love them no matter what forever, so they take their feelings out on their moms because it’s the only “safe” person. I promise it’ll get better as you get older
