Is it rude or not ok to switch doctors?

My OB has been on maternity leave and I became really comfortable with another doctor that I saw while she is out. I really feel like I want her to deliver my baby.

You are having the baby. Your comfort with your doc should matter more over maybe hurting your old docs feelings. You can just have the front desk person switch you and if you ever do run into the old doc and they ask you (doubtful) just explain that you really hit it off with new doc while old doc was out.

I don’t think you can guarantee you will go into labor and have the dr you want on staff that day, unless you are being induced or c section I suppose? I think if you are happy with either one you should consider that a good thing!
