Eating deli meat

Can anyone help me understand this a little better? I’ve been told since becoming pregnant not to eat deli meat because there is a chance of listeria. Okay, understandable. But isn’t listeria possible from ice cream too? No one is telling me not to eat ice cream.. not like I would listen anyway 😂 😝 my husband pointed this out to me last night. He works in the “meat industry,” if you will. He said he has seen more listeria outbreaks from ice cream than from deli meat.. and I agree with him 🤔. So, what gives?
