Potty training 16 month old?

My daughter has recently been on a kick of taking off her diaper and peeing on the floor (she finds it rather amusing). She can tells us she pooped after she actually went. Do you think  she may be ready to try using a potty? Or at least start getting used to one? I am just worried about rushing if she is not truly ready and having adverse feeling towards potty training later on.

It’s just a phase, my son went through and he eventually stopped, I’m currently dealing with this all over again with my one year old. My doctor told me a child will tell you or show you signs when they’re ready like example she might say “dirty” or “poopy” or point to her diaper.

My daughter did that around that age. She absolutely refused to potty train until just before her 3rd birthday. She just wasn't ready until then and it's gone pretty smoothly. 
Give it a try but keep expectations low.
