We live out here in Eastern North Carolina (New Bern) we left the Tuesday before the hurricane and came back the Wednesday after. We haven’t been out much to show my son, Morgen, what happened and how it has displaced people (new baby 8-16), but have talked about it. Yesterday we had to run to town and this is what happened.

Morgen saw ppl in line yesterday getting things. I explained to him why they were there. He got sad face and ask if little kids were in that line. I said yes they lost their toys, do you have toys for them. He said yes. Now this morning he is bringing out things he hasn't played with for months. With every load he says these are for the boys and girls who lost their toys in the storm. He has a big smile when he brings them out. We must be doing something right with him. 😍
