Becoming More Sensitive?

My son has become so sensitive the past few weeks. If I ask him to do anything he immediately starts crying, sticking his bottom lip out, and runs into the other room to flop on the floor. I would understand if he was in trouble but I could say "Go eat your crackers" as sweet as possible and he still gets upset.

Whining about everything these days. He will say no and whine even if he actually means yes. Want a drink? No, whining, then walks over and gets the cup. 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

My son is sort of like this. He doesn't cry when I ask him to do things, but my God- the waterworks when I get onto him for something! 
Getting too rough with the cat? "Be careful, baby. Be easy." I can say it in the sweetest voice, but out comes the lip, down come the tears, then he sobs, "bye" and leaves the room, shutting the door behind him. 
He has always been super sensitive though. It's definitely not a recent development for us. He just has so many feelings 😢

I literally came on here to see if anyone else’s child was acting like this. Sometimes I feel like it’s non stop whining. She got upset earlier because I was wiping something down and she wanted to do it.
