Continuous Brown spotting early pregnancy- what happened

I’ve had brown spotting since before I had a hpt and it’s been going on for two and a half weeks now. I’m almost 6 weeks pregnant. It’s very light and definitely light brown-dark brown, no other symptoms, and it’s freaking me out.

I had hcg drawn today and again in a few days. Has anyone else had this happen? Did it end up stopping? Was there a cause? Did you end up miscarrying?

It’s so hard to be excited about this pregnancy when I have a constant reminder I could lose it again at any moment
