First Tattoo?

I am in love with body modifications, especially tattoos, sadly I’m only a sophomore in high school with an unsupportive family. My dad is taking me to get my first one but I don’t know what to get! (We aren’t going until I’m a junior, though so I still have tons of time for decisions.) Any suggestions on what I should get?

Honest opinion as a professional body piercer: Don't get a tattoo before you're 18. I have wanted to be fully covered in tattoos my whole life. I promise you if my mom would of let me get one before I turned 18 I would of ended up regretting it. Every tattoo idea I wanted from being that age I think is awful now or it's cliche. You only get some much decorating space. Take your time . Really think about it. Also your body is still changing which can seriously warp a tattoo you grow.

one thing my parents always made clear to me was that as long as i knew tattoos are permanent and last forever, that i knew what i wanted and where i wanted to put it, AND that i found a GOOD ARTIST that doesnt budge on the price of the tattoo, that they would be supportive... so make sure you get something that really means something to you, so much so you want to put it on your body for the rest of your life... now i am not trying to scare you out of getting a tattoo, but i am telling you the truth... i didnt get my first tattoo until i was 18 and in college and i dont regret a thing, but i also know that you are not me and you may be more ready to do this than i was at your age... but another good piece of advice that i hope you listen to, do not be afraid to be picky about how you want your tattoo to look, but go in with an open mind and listen to what the artist is trying to say... if the studio or the people you talk to make you feel uncomfortable even in the slightest, walk out, and think about what style you want your piece to look like then go find portfolios and look through them... but most of all, take your time with this decision because once the needle hits your skin, there is no turning back.

i got my 1st one at 14.. my dad took me something little a cute im 24 now and covered 😂 so is my dad i dont regret anyhting.. just make sure your 1st is coverable 🤷‍♀️🤘
