Birth control “withdrawals”?
I posted a month or so ago about coming off birth control pills for the first time in ten years. Wanted to know what to expect, if anyone had come off and experienced side effects, etc. I think everyone answered that they had no side effects. Fast forward one month...
Now that it’s been a full cycle without BC, I felt dizzy and nauseous every day, the entire month leading up to my next period. I even had a few extreme bouts of vertigo and had to leave work early on several occasions. Saw a doctor for the vertigo who didn’t have a clue, prescribed me antibiotics thinking it was caused by an ear infection but my ears never hurt and antibiotics didn’t do anything. Then, I actually thought that maybe I was miraculously pregnant or something on the very first cycle of trying. But no, I got my period right on schedule. All I can blame my symptoms on is “withdrawing” from BC. Does that sound totally crazy? Now that I’ve got my period I feel perfectly normal again...🤷🏼♀️
