Too anxious too sleep
While at work today, I was unfortunate enough to have a moth fly in my ear (I work indoors, honestly this is my luck). When I couldn't get it out of my ear, I tried to calmly walk to my boss and hand him a pair of tweezers. He had me lay on the ground and he filled my ear with water to try and get the bug to float to the top. Once I was on the ground I was a full on sobbing mess because this moth was stuck in my ear and fluttering it's wings.
After thirty minutes of this, he had me try to flush it out at the sink. Ten minutes later I'm driving to the ER because the damn thing won't come out. (It was dead at that point. I don't know what was worse, having a bug stuck too deep to be seen and feeling it's wings flap, or knowing there was a dead bug stuck in my ear.)
Anyway, they got the moth out at the ER, and now I can't go to sleep because the thought of a bug crawling in my ear at night is freaking me out. I just can't stand the idea of it happening again. I also feel silly about going to the ER over a moth in my ear, but it just wasn't coming out. Anyone else have a bug in your ear, and how do I try to get to sleep after this?
