Herpes help

I was just diagnosed with herpes 2

My boyfriend and I had sex the other day though and he went down on me and I'm not sure if he can get it orally too. If so, how are there condoms to use so he can still go down or is that completely off the table now. I'm so worried. I am going to take the medication that surpresses it so that I don't have a higher risk of another breakout but I'm still scared. Please help
