Possible infection- going in tomorrow- expectations?

Question

Hey. Im 11 days PP and a FTM. 
Im going in tomorrow because I think I hate a uterine infection due to smell and slight fever so dr wants me to come in. 
What will this likely look like?
Worried about how my delicate area will be handled (exam of any kind? Just look? Blood test??)
Any experience is helpful!! TIA

Good that you’re going in! I had an infection a week postpartum due to episiotomy stitches that came undone and while it wasn’t super pleasant to be in stirrups and touched and examined down there so close to giving birth, I was SO GLAD I went in so the doctors could help me heal up properly! No fun trying to care for newborn while mom is fighting infection! Good luck to you; the docs will help you out!
