How effective is Nexplanon really???

Question

I have been feeling so bloated and constipated and have had a lot of discharge since getting the implant inserted a couple of months ago. 
I tested twice to make sure and it was negative but I wanted to make sure that it's really reliable as everyone says? I had a bad pregnancy scare a month or two before that and I just want to be reassured

Sounds like normal side effects. Nexplanon is the most effective birth control, aside from getting a hysterectomy or just not having sex.

I’ve had the nexplanon for over 5 years and let me tell you, if mine was going to fail it would have by now. Obviously I can only speak from own experience but but my boyfriend and I do have unprotected sex and he cums inside me. We’re both nearly 30 now so we know what could happen and can take responsibility if it does but I feel safe with it. Although that will change within about 2 or 3 months of it needing to be changed again, we’re going to have to have a BIG talk around that time.
