Depressed boyfriend

Hey...so my boyfriend recently came out to me as depressed...he said it's not because of me and that it's because of school and money but I can't help but feel like it is because of me. Ever since he told me it hasn't been the same and I just want it to stop.

I feel so discouraged and I don't know how to help. Help??
