Why didn't I get a positive?? 😑

Hey, I could do with some opk help please. It looked as though I was getting close to a positive on CD14, but when I did a test on CD15 (I forgot to take a pic), it was lighter again, almost non existent in fact. 
I don't understand, have any of you experienced this? We BD on CD15 anyway, but doesn't look as though I got a positive opk at all.

Opk tests aren’t linear which means they are always going to get darker and darker each day until a positive. You may have some light, some darker- nothing matters until you get that peak positive. Keep testing, and try twice a day!

With opk's you're supposed to take them between 11am and 6pm, so it could be the times you're testing at. Most women find their best time for opk's to be around 2pm.
