*UPDATE* Natural or c-section?

The Dr pulled me from work this week. Said my back & blood pressure are becoming a problem. She also said the baby is rather large 4.5lbs at 31 weeks. Plus I have a lot of amniotic fluid. My glucose test was perfect so that’s not an issue. Dr said most likely will be doing a cesarean the week before she is due 😭
Ok so I had an emergency c-section 16 years ago with my twins. Here we are pregnant with #3. I have the option to choose if I want a v-back or c-section. I would love to v-back however she is weighing in at 3.6lbs at 29 weeks. She is going to be huge come delivery. I’m worried about vaginal damage vs recovering from c-section. What are your thoughts? How would you want to proceed given the choice?

I would do vbac. Your body is designed for child birth and I'm sure they will watch you closely and induce if they feel the baby is getting too big

I had a vaginal birth with my first (she was 5lbs .04oz at birth) and I tore with her.. my recovery was difficult, but I assumed normal because I had nothing to compare it to.
My son was just born on 9/24 and he weighed 9lbs 11oz... I started with an induction at 39w1d and after 10 hours of labor then pushing for 1.5 hours He had only moved an inch down the birth canal and I knew I couldn’t push him out... so I had the c-second that I was dreading so much (I knew he was big and it was a possibility going in). Honestly, my c-section recovery has been much easier then my vaginal birth recovery was. I felt 80% normal by day 12, and although I am still bleeding I feel pretty good all things considered now.. I know everyone is different, and I admittedly have a decent tolerance for pain, but my vaginal delivery was hands down a harder recovery so I won’t be afraid of a c-section if we go for baby #3

I had a vaginal delivery with my first and then an emergency csection with my second. If I have another baby my plan is to do a vbac but it’s hard to say for sure until that time comes.

I would probably try for a VBAC, but if I didn’t go into labor on my own by 40 weeks I’d do a repeat section.

I had an emergency Csection too and if I was ever allowed to I’d choose a VBAC. That way you’ll be able to experience both and that’s something not a lot of people can do.
My son was estimated at 3lbs 15oz at 29 weeks by my MFM. 
The day before I had him the hospital did another ultrasound and estimated 3lbs 2oz. He came out 2lbs 15.9oz (they rounded to 3). That was the 50th percentile.
