What are your experiences with private scans?

Going for a private gender scan on Thursday and want to know experiences.

I had one at Window to the womb it was really great got allot of great pictures and some really bad ones. They couldn’t find out the gender in the first scan so let me walk about for an hour and drink some water and then took me back in and I was able to find out.

While I was there I was super disappointed. Baby girl was so stubborn and was hiding her face the whole time and at one point completely turned away from the camera and had her back to us I thought it was waste of time and I wanted to cry but held it together. We got a few shots as they tried to eliminate her arm that was in front of her face. It wasnt until I got home and really started looking at the photos and now I can’t stop smiling. We got a great shot of her folded up grabbing her legs to hide from us and even though in the moment at the place I was totally upset about it it’s now my favorite picture because it’s just her and I can’t blame her for being stubborn like her mommy. Me and my hubby look at the photos and would still do it again it was worth it ❤️

I’ve had two. One at 8 weeks bc baby was measuring behind at my 7 week appointment with my RE and I was too nervous to wait until the follow up ultrasound. The other was our elective gender scan at 15+4. Both were great experiences and the sonographers were sweet and knowledgeable. Our 15 week scan he was moving around so much! We got about 30 pictures and a dvd of the session too.
