Please be honest... when you get jealous of another girl/woman do you do anything to try to make her insecure or tear her down? What makes you jealous and what do you do about it? Maybe you’re not jealous you just don’t like her, why what’s your pet peeve about other women?

The fact that they're prettier than me (I mean, seriously 😂). I'm not about to tear another woman down for my own sick satisfaction, that's fucked up. My insecurities have no business being projected on the other person.

I hardly find myself feeling jealous. And if I did, I wouldn’t waste my energy on making them insecure or bringing them down because I have enough sense of self to recognize that it’s a projection of my own insecurity- whatever that may be. If I don’t vibe with someone, it’s usually because they’ve proven to be super self-righteous and hypocritical or continuously victimize themselves. I guess those would be my pet peeves in a person but I just walk away from those people and move on with my life.

I won’t tear  her down I’ll probably just get insecure about myself and feel bad about me. I get jealous super easy too

I have insecurities but I definitely wouldn’t say I get jealous of other “girls” or women. I’m 33, not 15. I actually enjoy complimenting someone for looking amazing or being more outgoing than I am. I admire other women and I stand with them and support them. I do not tear them down. We have enough against us in the world.

I think with age and experience we become less likely to take our insecurities out on one another. I do remember in high school lots of rumor spreading and “slut shaming” which seemed to stem from jealousy. It is healing to realize we should build each other up rather than tear each other down, as life really is already hard enough. I occasionally still run into women tearing each other down in the workplace and I struggle to understand it. As a teen a lot of bullying And negativity shaped my self image And hurt my self esteem I still am trying to recover from a lot of mean stuff others said and did. As we mature as a society it’s important to teach younger girls not to try to hurt others to try to make yourself feel better.
