HSG or surgery to check for endometriosis?

Hello, my husband and I have been TTC for 2 years. My periods are normal and all my bloodwork is normal. My husband's semen analysis came back great. So my doctor wants to either do the HSG or she has given me the option to do the surgery to check for endometriosis and go the hsg at the same time. I'm torn. On one hand, I want  answers so I feel like I should just do both but I'll have to be put under and the doctor said that sometimes the HSG is enough to help couples to conceive and surgery seems somewhat abrasive. Help?!?

Do hsg first , it’s way less invasive and takes 15 mins, then if it shows nothing then more on yo more invasive surgery

I would recommend HSG first.  It's less invasive and less expensive. If they can find the problem with the infertility with that one text you will have spared yourself a surgery.

I’d definitely go for the hsg test first, I got these options and chose the hsg test and with my results I didn’t need surgery thank god in one way but in another way it wasn’t a good result from the hsg test but we got answers. we started ivf a month ago and I’m back tomorrow to have one of our day 5 blastocyst put back in 🤞🏼. My cousin was diagnosed with endo, but they were able to find it via ultrasound. A surgery does seem quite intrusive and seems like a last resort to me.
