He told me he can’t pay for our first date because he has a savings account instead of a checking account

He said he won’t be able to pay for our coffee date because he only has $2 in his account and doesn’t get paid until Friday. He tried to tell me that his credit card bill was for $700 so he can’t withdraw any more money because his bank won’t allow it. He makes $1,200 every two weeks so I wasn’t buying it, he also uses this money to purchase video games weekly. He told me his paychecks get direct deposited into his savings account. He said he doesn’t have a debit card, and would have to go up to a bank teller to withdraw money. By the time he gets out of work which is around 7 or 8pm the bank is closed.

He asked if I could treat him to coffee tomorrow and then the next time we meet he’ll order Uber Eats for us and we’ll watch a football game together Sunday at his place for the second date. I told him that I wasn’t coming over because that’s not a real date and we met online so I’m not comfortable yet, he got mad. Do you think he’s making the entire story up to avoid paying for dates and make me come over?
