Scared from the last one

I met a great guy who made me stay and discuss when we had a disagreement and not just run away. He was patient and went out of his way for me. I only knew him for two weeks but I liked him and I told him things and he told me I was too scared from my last relationship which was 3 years and abusive and it only ended 4ish months ago. He told me I needed time for myself. I appreciate him and I think he would be great for me but he doesn’t want to fix me like he fixed his ex fiancé and then got screwed for it. I just wish I was already better because this new guy? Husband material.
