Is it okay to take Zantac and tums?

Question

I've had terrible indigestion (not so much heartburn but terrible gas pains in my chest) and my doctor told me to take zantac 150 2x per day to hopefully prevent these attacks I get...took one this morning, and then this afternoon took two tums because I had sharp pains :( the pain went away with tums (they provide immediate relief) but is it okay to take both? I'm just prepping to have dinner, is it okay to take another Zantac?

Yep I take two Zantac a day and tums as needed for my heartburn.

I take mylanta for heartburn and gas pains. It has gas medicine in it.

Both are fine. I was put on tums by my ob. They didnt work. I was then put on zantac 175 . They also didnt work. Finally was put on prilosec otc. That was a success
