A week early! 😊❤️

Natalia • My little Munchkin 🧸💕👶🏽

so I finally got around to my birth story! My October baby turned into a September baby by a day lol. She was due Oct 7 but decided she wanted to come Sept 30 🤷🏻‍♀️

okay so on sept 29 at around 4:30 pm my water broke while I was sitting outside with sketching with my younger brother. I wasn’t sure what it was at the moment I just felt warm and wet out of nowhere but it was a fish of water more like a trickle so I went to the bathroom to check. I sit down to pee to make sure it wasn’t pee coming out and when I stand up I kept leaking without being able to stop it but I was still incredulous 😂 Anyway I went upstairs to my room to tell my boyfriend what was going on and as I’m pulling down my pants to show him more liquid comes out so I just look at him w the most stupid face & im like “babe my water broke” mind you he was in the middle of Call Of Duty so he’s like “oh shit guys i gotta go it’s time” so we call my aunt and my mom to let them know and ofc they start freaking out and rushing home. Fast forward we get in the car and start driving, we made it to the hospital at around 5:30pm, Dr says i’m about 3cm & that they’re gonna check again in 2 hrs to see if i’m progressing on my own or if i have to be induced. Two hrs later they induce me w Pitocin in my IV which triggered close contractions 2 mins apart but not strong enough so they up the dose twice and by the second time i was dying. The contractions were horribly strong or maybe i’m a baby 🤷🏻‍♀️ either way i ended up getting the epidural sometime around 2 am. It made me itch so they gave me Benadryl which knocked me out immediately. I woke up at around 8 am right as the dr was walking in, she checks and asks me if i feel the urge to push, i tell her no not really why & she says i’m 9.5 cm but at that point i was still drowsy from the Benadryl so i asked if we can wait and she said we could wait another hour so we did. 9 am comes and i’m awake and ready so Dr started prepping everything. I started pushing at 9:11 am and after 17 minutes baby Ivy was born at 9:28 am, weighing 7lbs2oz and measuring 19.5” and it was the most beautiful thing. As soon as they put her on my chest all i felt was pure bliss, literally like i had been drugged and nothing else mattered. Thank God she was born strong and healthy with no complications whatsoever. 😌
