Wait or test?

I'm nervous because I had a mc May 9th and was advised to wait 3 full cycles before trying again. Af was scheduled to be here Friday the 7th and still isn't here. No PMS symptoms of any kind. It didn't appear that my cycle schedule changed either after the mc. So my question is should I test being 3 days late or wait? If I wait, please comment how long? I was 5 days late with my mc when I tested
