Is consummating a marriage an important part of the marriage ritual for you? Do you count it as part of the 'ceremony'?

No, I don't like the whole consummation idea. It's gross to me. "You aren't fully married until you have sex." Oh ok... that's weird. What does sex have to do with any of it? If people didn't have sex due to medical problems or something does that make their marriage invalid? I don't really understand but I honestly don't want to. The idea just weirds me out. 
If that's what floats your boat then that's fine, but to have that on me, I wouldn't like it.

My husband and I waited until marriage to have sex so yeah it was a big deal 😂 no way were we gonna skip that 😂

If I had the traditional big wedding then straight to the honeymoon so we were in a hotel then I guess it would or could be made into something with planned undergarments and rose petals type thing. I was married at the courthouse and we went back home that night so it was just normal (but happy and excited from the celebratory day) sex. I didn’t think of it as consummating anything though. Not like it was our first time.
