He came inside me but ???

My husband and I had sex the first week of October with protection but and then without protection. He would just pull out. Then later on my period was late. So I told him about it and he said he wouldn’t mind having a baby. So then we had sex and that was the first time he came inside me. Today is my last day of ovulation and I got my period ? 😂😟 what did we do wrong ? 😂
