Heart valve problems. Anyone else?

I’ve been having really bad chest pain and trouble breathing. I went to the cardiologist and had some tests done. He said I’m having a lot of extra beats. He said what happening is my lower valve is closing while blood is still trying to pump through so it’s pressing against the closed valve. I just need to stop and rake deep breaths to get the rhythm back. He wanted to put me on medication to regulate my heart beat but I’m going to hold out as Long as I can. If I’m still having trouble breathing in a month or 2 he is going to monitor me. Has anyone else had the same thing? And did you go on medication ?
