Do baby girls ever get a vaginal odor?

I changed my 10 month old baby girl’s wet pocket diaper tonight. She had it on for about two hours. I noticed that she had a bit of what I would consider a normal vagina smell. I’ve just never noticed this before and now I’m concerned.

I’m wondering if this may be normal. I cleaned the best I could with our cloth wipes (I make them with water, a bit of baby soap and coconut oil). There was no redness, discharge or irritation and baby doesn’t seem overly fussy. Everything looked normal. And I’m fairly certain this isn’t due to a flaw in my wash routine.

Just wondering if this is something that could be normal, especially after a very wet diaper. I don’t always do a super intensive wipe down after wet diapers, especially if it isn’t soaked. From everything I have read, that’s not necessary. I’ve even skipped wiping her every once in awhile after a not too wet diaper. But naturally, after a dirty diaper, I do a good wipe.

This is my first baby girl.
