What toys are best for infants? Like when the baby does decide to pick up stuff, what kind of stuff do they like?

Pretty much all of my kids favorite toys pre 12 months were manhattan toys but the skwish was his favorite and I think it's their most popular one

My son also seems to love his Manhattan toys (the atom, the Winkle and the skwish) but they were a little big for him to play with when he was 0-3 months. We used a lot of links clipped together to make different shapes and he still loves them! Plus I use them to attach his toys to other surfaces. Best $4 I’ve spent.

Crinkle toys with different textures and colors, plus rings to hold on to. Also mirrors! This was my son’s favorite toy for the first 9 months. He loved it so much we actually had to buy 2 so we could keep one in the diaper bag at all times, plus one at home.

My boy likes anything that makes noise and/or is very soft
