Hypothyroidism and trying to conceive...HELP!

So I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism since i was about 5 years old. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the last year ... the last six months i have been going to the doctor trying to get my levels perfect and well i think it is getting closer finally.

Has anyone had hypothyroidism prior to being pregnant and had a baby? I've read so many horror stories about miscarriages due to thyroid levels not being correct and just flat out never conceiving due to this. Thankfully i am 26 and he is 30 so we have some time still to have a baby but after a year of trying and six months of getting blood work done ever 6 weeks and trying new dosages well its flat out EXHAUSTING! Especially when your mother and sisters are extremely fertile and have a baby the first month or two of trying each time... Anyone else feel my pain?

Please tell me i am not alone!
