I stopped my thyroid pills! Now I am late!
Has anyone stopped their thyroid meds? Did it throw off your cycle?
Backstory- I recently started seeing an endo and he said I had a swollen thyroid and was borderline hashi. Really that I had it but my numbers looked good. He put me on NP thyroid to treat my symptoms of hypo and get my thyroid smaller. I went along for a few months but the more I read the more I hated becoming dependent on thyroid meds when my levels were good. I also gained weight on it, felt terrible and hot flash all the time. I also had labs come back with abnormal/low vitamin levels and they didn’t call me!! So I scheduled with a new dr and am waiting for my appointment...
Ok so my question - I stopped my meds about a month and a half ago. I’m not sure the exact date. My periods seemed to go 28 days then 34-36, then 28 again. Light and barely there. But regular.
Now I am ~5 day’s late. I tested on Thursday and it was negative. But all I had was digital and I’m not a fan of those. Since I have a history of early miscarriage (2) and 2 heathy babies. I prefer to see a faint line and know maybe it’s chemical pregnancy or possible miscarriage. I am so used to knowing a faint line means don’t get your hopes up. 🤦🏼♀️ We aren’t trying to convince but aren’t using condoms every time either.
Advice? I plan to retest tomorrow morning.
Edited to add I am currently on cycle day 38
