Would a dr miss a Down syndrome diagnosis??

I just really notice my 2 month old constantly has her tongue sticking out. Would a dr miss a diagnosis

There is much more to Down syndrome than just a tongue sticking out. She is probably discovering her tongue. It is a muscle she will have to learn to control.

My son did that in the beginning, I felt like every picture had his tongue out. Now he is fine.

Maybe if it were mosaic Down syndrome. Really rare! 
Babies always stick out their tongues. If you’re really worried and think you might need extra interventions ask your pediatrician

My baby sticks out her tongue all the time too; I think our pediatrician said her tongue is slightly bigger than average. Maybe that’s the case for you too?

She’s probably just discovering her tongue and how to move it. If you’re worried I would take her to the pediatrician.

I wouldn’t worry if I were you. My daughter also often stick out her thong and my mom told me I used to be the same when I was a baby. People would tell her to get me checked for Down syndrome, but hey I’m perfectly normal after all. Enjoy your baby growing up and when the time comes if its the case I’m sure you’ll take every steps to help the best you can.

Ask you doctor about Cerebral Palsy.
My son had it and when he was very young his tongue was often sticking out. Thankfully it may just have been a muscle weakness, he doesn't do it anymore.

If your baby had downs they can tell from facial features..just because your baby sticks their tongue out doesn’t mean anything
