Have you ever been on a ‘break’ with your so and gotten back fine?

I don’t know what to do. I don’t know if he loves me I don’t know how to tell if he does. He talked and hooked up with a girl during our one month single time. It’s kind of too much for me but I’m trying to handle it I don’t even want to handle it in the first place I really liked him when we first started dating I feel like he has changed a lot. We broke up and took a break because i flirted with and ex. And i don’t know if it’s even healthy to continue. I need opinions now. We are “back” together but the chemistry is so weird he doesn’t seem that excited to talk to ask about me to talk about things I say about me to be with me . We are both busy and I’m telling him we should go out instead of hanging out in my room and then have sex but then he says well yeah that’s the only thing we can do and then he says it’s stressful for him to drive and pay for everything and also choose where to go and blabla he just assumed he had to it all and it was stressful he also doesn’t I’m really just feeling so empty I don’t feel happy I try to do little things for him I don’t think he sees them I don’t think anything. He cares a little bit for me but not as much and it’s just because we’ve been for a while together I guess I need advices I think I’m actually going to go crazy
