Would you feel comfortable with your baby in a ground floor bedroom if yours was upstairs? Why?
My partner and I both live with our parents and to make things easier we have decided we should live together as I’m not really supported by my parents. For the first 6 months the baby would stay in the bedroom with us in a crib, but once he’s bigger he’s going to need to sleep in a cot and there’s just no space in the bedroom. He has a spare room downstairs that is a perfect size for a nursery, but we are unsure about having a baby downstairs whilst we are upstairs. I will be breastfeeding too, so it is very difficult.
I know the easy option is to get our own place but at this time of year and at 30 weeks pregnant, it’s just too much stress. We will plan to move out by the time the baby is one or just after (we don’t want to rush buying a property, we want to find the perfect one) but until then, we are a bit confused whether having our baby downstairs is a good idea or not...
