Teething?

My 3 month old has started drooling a lot.. like soak through multiple bibs a day, constantly sucks on his hand, and is much fussier than normal. He will be fast asleep and wake up suddenly screaming and that goes on throughout the day. Could this possibly be early signs of teething or just a bunch of things just happening at once?

Around 3 months their saliva production increases but their ability to swallow it down doesn't mature at the same rate so that could explain all the drool. Teething can definitely start at 3 months even if a tooth doesn't pop out until 6 or 7 months. Earlier on, the teeth can be shifting into position under the gums and cause pain even when it isn't swollen. And the hands in the mouth thing...just get used to it. 🤣 Soon it will be every single toy or blanket he comes across with get a healthy gnaw.

Could be gas from sucking on his fists. My 4 month old will sick on his hands, spit up, then proceed to suck on his fists again after unclean him up lol He's always had a gas problem but I've noticed it was pretty bad about two weeks ago and I think it's from all his sucking.

Could be either one. All those behaviors are pretty normal and not necessarily indicative of teething.  Although it Could be teething also - you won’t know unless you see a tooth come in. 
However the actual process of a tooth coming through the gums only takes a couple days. So if it lasts for more than that then I’d say it’s just normal baby behavior.
