Do you regulate or ration your children's Halloween candy?

This was my daughter's first year trick-or-treating. So far I have set limits. We keep her candy up out of reach and we will get it down for her after Lunch. But we don't limit the amount at that time. The most she has eaten at one time is 4 fun sized candies.

I’m all for an “eat until they’re sick” day. Let them binge. It’s good for kids to say, “I have a tummy ache” and for me to be able to explain why. I don’t want candy to be something my kids fear or want to binge on daily. It’s good for them to learn by experience how certain foods effect them early in life—I was in my 20s before I learned that! For one day a year, let them binge. The rest of the year, if candy is on the menu, it is, and I will leave out a portion of candy with the meal. They can pick what they want and how much. My daughters are 4 and 5 and I do limit how much they have at once, otherwise theyll just eat it until they're sick 😂

I heard on the news from a dentist it’s better to let them eat most of it at once for their teeth idk About their health lol my son went trick or treating for the first time had a few recess cups but that’s all he’s only 15 months old though

The first day he had a HUGE dinner before trick or treating, so he wasn’t that hungry and it wasn’t a big deal to have what he wanted. 
Since then I’ve handed him once piece after dinner and he has seemed overjoyed. He’s only 2 though, when he’s older it will be a little more.

I keep my kids up too.... otherwise they eat it when they're supposed to be in bed lol 
I don't care if/when/how much they have (although would probably stop them at 4 or 5 pieces) I just want them to sleep too lol

My daughter is 4. She gets 2 pieces after dinner, if she eats her whole dinner. We don’t need to keep it out of reach, which is nice.

I set limits and I don't let my younger kids have hard candy or real chewy candy out of fear of them choking (2 and 3 years old.) My oldest doesn't have much of a sweet tooth so we don't tell her limits because she doesn't like most candies. But my other kids would eat until they thrown up and then continue eating.
