Re-tearing my hymen!

I’m 21 years old and lost my virginity at 16, tore my hymen at 9(balance beam in gymnastics) and have been with my SO for 3 years. Last Sunday, we were having sex and I felt like a burning sensation and it hurt a little bit. Afterwards, I go into the bathroom and my hymen tore even more than it already had!

A lot of people think you “have” or “don’t have” a hymen but it is a body part that you have FOREVER. It will tear down but it will ALWAYS be a part of you. I just cannot believe I tore mine AGAIN!

Has this ever happened to any of you?

Update: I’ve had sex many times and my hymen did not magically grow back but instead tore even more than it was already torn.
