How much did your baby weigh at an ultrasound vs birth?

Around 30 weeks they said my baby weighed 4lbs. That seemed big to me and the doctors said he was measuring just slightly ahead. I’m concerned that his going to be big! I was just curious to see how much your baby weighed at an ultrasound vs birth?

At 34 weeks they estimated my daughter would weigh 8-9 lbs at birth. She was only 5 lbs 12 oz, born at 38 weeks

When I went in the hospital to give birth I got an ultrasound and they said she was exactly 6lbs. Less than 24 hrs later I gave birth and she was 7lbs3oz. The ultrasounds can be odd either more or less by pounds, and that’s saying something when you’d dealing with a newborn! Don’t take too much stock into it. Really the only way you are going to know is when your baby comes out.

I was told the last couple of weeks that my baby was going be 7 or  8 lbs at birth because they were measuring big and when I had her a 3 days later via unplanned c section she was only 6lbs 14oz I had alot of fluid then I did baby my mom said she could have stayed in for a little longer since she lost weight went down to 6lbs the day before going home and I kept telling them she was nursing right but they were no help until she lost weights and then we suppulment with formula in a cup and breastfed with my moms help.
