Have you had an HSG done?
Has anyone had an HSG done before?
Hysterosalpingography, also known as uterosalpingography, is a radiologic procedure to investigate the shape of the uterine cavity and the shape and patency of the fallopian tubes. It injects a radio-opaque material into the cervical canal and usually fluoroscopy with image intensification.
My back story.
My husband and i have been trying for our first child for almost two years. I was on depo and got off the shot when we decided it was time to plan for a family. I’ve had irregular cycles since. Went to the Dr. For tests and shows I have PCOS, a mass inside my uterus and the top of my uterus is caving in to the shape of a V or triangle. I was also put on metformine for two weeks but had to stop taking it due to a reaction that caused me to throw up a lot of blood. She send a referral to a fertility specialist to have the HSG done as well as my husbands little swimmers to be analyzed to rule him out of the issue. We have been pregnant before about 4.5 years ago but sadly lost the baby. After the HSG I will be put on an ovulation medication to help me out of surgery is not going to take place.
Has anyone had this done and had a successful pregnancy after?
I’m so ready to be a mommy and my husband can’t wait either. A lot seems to be against me but I am super positive and keeping my head held high!
