Anyone else struggling with balancing your little persons life?

Cutting down on screen time and temper tantrums have me just way down. He tried to throw a water bottle at my face and I just want to cry. We have been sick so he has had more tv then he usually does and now I cant seem to get him to just play inside during the morning without the tv. We try to get out during the afternoon so that isnt usually a problem.

I never let the screens become a thing, but I did have to babysit for several children who’s parents told me to “fix” their kids for them... which was disgustingly put on their part but they knew my kids didn’t have the same problems. 
You have to tough it out for the first few times, but whatever you do DO not turn the TV on. Get outside, go to the store and have your kid help pick out some activities to do together like coloring or crafts. Engage them in conversation.

Cutting down on screen time is hard...but if they act like lunatics with screen time, you have to do it.
We took screens away during the week.  We used to let the kids watch for 1/2 an hour after homework/before bed and they would go nuts when we said times up.  It was clearly unhealthy so that privilege went away.  It really sucked for everyone at first, but things are much better now without screens.
Tantrums are exhausting.  My third was the first to be physical with others during tantrums (my first didn’t really have tantrums, my second threw fits, but only hurt himself).  Being physical with others during tantrums definitely adds another layer/level of difficulty to tantrums.
With my second, once he got to the whimpering stage of the tantrum, we could go and rock on the rocking chair and he would get over it (and usually apologize).  My third usually needs to stand in the corner a bit before he will apologize and start acting moderately human again.
Parenting is hard.  Stay strong, be consistent.  You can do this.

We do not pay for cable.  The tv is only used for my husbands video games as we are never home long enough.  My little one freaks out the minute my laptop comes out because it means its time for work.
