What will your baby sleep in overnight for first few weeks/months?

I’m really needing to ask my dr what is best for baby overnight. We plan to have baby in the room for us. I bought a pack n play that comes with a sleeper bassinet but people keep telling me this isn’t okay for overnight. Then my stroller comes with a bassinet for overnight sleeping and people say this isn’t okay either.

This might sound dumb but is the crib okay when they’re so young? With my first I couldn’t afford a crib so he slept in his pack and play but now we were going to get both but I was planning on him being in a crib from the start 🤷🏻‍♀️ I say this might sound like a dumb question because I thought the options you said were fine as well lol I didn’t know that some people are against that so now I’m wondering what’s everyone’s stand on cribs????? 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

We’ll be using the raised bassinet portion of our pack n play at first. They don’t recommend the napper attachments because of the incline of their neck. You want them to be flat and on a firm surface.

The original plan was to stay babe out in a crib in our room. Figured it would make for the easiest transition to sleeping in her own room a few months down the road. But... after some crazy months of our house making all our kids sick, I've temporarily moved in with my parents while that all gets figured out and taken care of. So there's only room for the pack n play. So baby will sleep in the pack n play next to my bed.

Using my city select bassinet in a jolly jumper stand, not leaving it attached to the stroller. 
I don’t recommend the pack and play bassinet. Safer to just leave them in the pack and play itself.

My midwife said first month in the room in a crib, bassinet, or cosleeper attachment but NOT in the bed. Unfortunately I live in a very very old home and the rooms are tiny so our girl will be in a rib in her room which is literally 4 steps from our room.

Thanks for all the comments!! I think what is confusing me so much is that these companies are marketing products as overnight sleepers (our pack n play with the bassinet and our stroller with the bassinet). But I keep hearing that some of these products might not be super safe for overnight sleeping after all. 🤷🏻‍♀️
