Do you feel the "right to die" should still apply if a healthy persons failed suicide attemt resulted in them being in a permanent "vegitative state" be it completely paralyzed, serious brain injury etc?

We have discussed the right to die quite a few times. But this scenario in particular hasnt. I was talking to my cousin about this as we have opposing views on the subject and se brought up this point that kinda stumped me.

For me i feel that if your quality of life is deteriorating, u should have the right to die with dignity. As far as suicide i personally wish people contimplating that should seek immediate help and not be ashamed to as for it. (But that's beside this point) Where as my cousin considers any form of suicide "wrong" and/or selfish.

So she asked me this question, at first it stumped me bjt i still stand firm in my original "dying w/dignity" opinion.

I thought itd be a good topic to discuss, at least something to break up the holiday topics 😉
