husband problems

Let me start by saying this may sound selfish but I truly want opinions..my husband and I just got into a car accident we get everything resolved with the police and we are not injured light scratches and back pain we finally get home and I said “I’m happy we are okay” and give him a hug and caress his face to he said back “can you not touch my face” I respected that and a bit later his mother came by and gave him a hug and he started to cry what’s going on? I feel like he doesn’t want me to be there for him or anything and it really hurt my feelings but I don’t want to be selfish and I’m trying to really understand thank you in advance for any advice..
