I’ve never swaddled him before I tried once but he didn’t like it but all of a sudden he’s fallen asleep swaddled but I’m nervous to sleep it’s 4:20am I’m scared to leave him swaddled is it safe? Ftm

I wouldn’t leave him like that just because I don’t trust those types of blankets as swaddles. I normally use the swaddles with Velcro because I’m more confident in them.

I was advised babies should not be swaddled. New born babies can not regulate their own body temperature and being swaddled can cause them to over heat. 
I would say if ur comfortable with swaddling ur baby then do it, but only use light blankets and not a lot of clothes underneath.
