Body hair is normal 🙄

Alyssa

I’m scrolling through Instagram and come across this post.

I knew the comments would be bad and I was right... there was two people who were commenting negative things.

The first guy who said “Not all women grow hair all over they’re body” I think was just ignorant. He claimed most women don’t grow facial hair, hair on they’re stomach and pubic area. He’s “evidence” was he’s done research on this (probably porn or models) and all the girls had no body hair. A woman tried to tell him that’s not true and he started getting all smart mouthy so I just skipped past.

The other guy who said “we’re past the Stone Age” was a bit different... these are some of his replies to women standing up for themselves.

If we’re speaking science, then we probably shouldn’t remove hair. It’s meant to keep us warm and hair in different places helps with different things. Pubic hair for example actually helps prevent to much friction during sex making it more pleasurable.

If you don’t shave THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE UNHYGIENIC. As long as you wash the hair on your body that is hygienic.

This is just sexist.

“It’s not necessary because we can be hairy and you guys will still have sex with us”

If you don’t want to shave then don’t shave, if you want to do it. It’s your body and same goes for men. It’s okay to have preferences on what you like your partner to do with their body hair but it’s not okay to tell them what to do if they don’t want to do something.

The comment on the bottom is something else but it’s not true. Ladies (and gentlemen if they’re are any reading this) it’s YOUR body, YOUR choice. Don’t let anyone else tell you what to do with the hair on your body and do not be ashamed of it! Body hair is a real thing that everyone deals with. It’s normal, it’s natural, and it’s not body else’s business but yours what you do with it.
