Traveling 5 months after having baby

Hi ladies, I’m looking for some advice on what I should do here. So my older sister is doing a destination wedding in Thailand August 2019. I live in Seattle with my husband and we are expecting our first in March 2019, by the time wedding rolls around she will be about 5 months old. My sister is really pushing me to go, I just wanted to hear from you guys what your thoughts are on this. If I were to go I would be leaving my baby with my husband for 2 weeks and would most likely have to hire a nanny for that time as he works Monday-Friday 9-6. I also plan on breastfeeding well past 5 months and do not want to use formula.

Has anyone else left their newborn for a few weeks at a time, and how did it go?

Thailand is going to be very hot in August and I’m worried about my boobs leaking all the time, I honestly have no idea what to expect or how to prepare. I feel like I might just be worried about my daughter the whole time and not be able to enjoy the trip 😕 I’m planning on talking to my OB about this in my next appointment which is 3 weeks away, any suggestions on good questions to ask? Should I just not go?

**I should add on here, is taking baby a safe option? If we were to take her my husband would definitely come but I’m worried the trip might be too long and hard on her 😕 Has anyone else done a long trip like this with a baby?
