I live in Texas and soon mi and my boyfriend want to get married, we’ve always talked about it since we first got together, any help???? We don’t want to have a wedding something simple.

You have to apply for a marriage license first. Then there is a 72 hour waiting period. Then you have about 30 days (maybe a little more) to have your scheduled day to go in and get married. If you know when you want to get married then go in about 3 weeks prior for the license and schedule the day.

Got married in a courthouse in MI. Marriage license was i believe 35 dollars. You get it then have 30 days to call courthouse to set up a date to get married. Courthouse cermony is literally 5 10 minutes lol.
